At first, she could not imagine anything other than yawning waves of pain, as she contemplated the 'empty nest'.
But at some point, it became obvious that the worst of the pain were the waves of yawning caused by a consistent lack of sleep, caused by the exuberance of her daughter's youth, expressed in ever-later curfews.
Daughter of the King, wife to Mark, mom to six, grandma to three, speech/language pathologist, dog owner, girlfriend, traveler, reader, blogger, Southern roots, Midwest values, slight insomniac and therefore, sometimes addled. :~)
